Effective August 14, 2026.
Great Falls Handyman (also operating as The GF Handyman, "we", "us"), owned by Daniel Emrich, operates our website (thegfhandyman.com), our field-service application, and the services offered through them. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have.
To provide, schedule, and perform services; prepare estimates and invoices; process payments and bank transactions; communicate with you by phone, email, or text (when you opt in); and meet our legal, accounting, and tax obligations.
When you opt in, Great Falls Handyman may send customer-care text messages from our business line (406) 315-0711 about job scheduling, on-my-way notices, estimates, invoices, appointment confirmations, and service follow-ups. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel and HELP for help at any time. Consent to receive texts is optional and is not a condition of requesting a quote or purchasing services.
Your mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. We use your mobile number only to deliver the customer-care messages you opted into and to operate our service (including our SMS provider). We do not share mobile numbers with third parties for their own marketing.
All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. We may share your personal data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, only with vendors who help us deliver the texts (including Telnyx and mobile carriers).
You can also opt out by emailing [email protected] or calling (406) 315-0711.
We use Plaid Inc. to connect your bank account. When you connect an account you also agree to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy at plaid.com/legal. Plaid handles your bank credentials directly; we receive only the account details needed to move or reconcile funds, and we encrypt them at rest.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not sell or share mobile phone numbers or other personal information with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.
All traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS 1.2 or higher. Sensitive data — bank account and routing numbers, tax identification numbers, and integration credentials — is encrypted at rest. Access is restricted and activity is logged.
We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide our services and to satisfy legal, accounting, and tax retention requirements (generally up to seven years for financial records), after which it is deleted or de-identified. Our internal Data Retention & Deletion Policy is reviewed at least annually. SMS opt-in records are kept as long as needed to demonstrate consent and honor opt-outs.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. Financial records we are legally required to retain will be de-identified rather than deleted. To make a request, email [email protected]. We respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
By using our services, submitting a form, connecting a bank, or making a payment, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described here. Text messaging requires a separate, optional opt-in (website checkbox, clear verbal yes, or written/in-person consent). You may withdraw consent by contacting us or replying STOP to texts, though this may limit how we can reach you.
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
We may update this policy; the effective date above reflects the latest version. Questions or requests: [email protected].
